Biography
Andrew Allmark is a Chartered Building Surveyor with three decades of experience in commercial property matters. His extensive background as a Commercial EPC Assessor since their inception has given him a deep understanding of the technical challenges involved in improving commercial properties and portfolios, particularly in the context of Net Zero and Net Positive goals.
Developing a specialist interest in energy and sustainability matters 20 years ago, Andrew comprehends the broader implications of property portfolio management decisions. His expertise lies in understanding how these decisions impact existing stock and the associated implications from a landlord-tenant perspective.
Andrew is a strong advocate for phased adaptation of the built environment, embracing green economic principles. He focuses on aligning government and environmental objectives to ensure legacy stock remains viable and valued as we move towards decarbonisation.
Areas of Expertise
Andrew’s expertise encompasses the overlap of property use and improvement under various sustainability-focused disciplines. He identifies opportunities to enhance performance through a range of assessments, including LEED, BREEAM, CRREM, NABERS, WELL, and ISO 14001 & 50001.
He is qualified as both a Level 4 Commercial EPC Assessor and DEC Assessor and is looking to expand into Level 5 and NABERS specialisms.

Sustainability has been pivotal in Andrew’s career development over the last two decades, both in the services he has developed and in his delivery methodology, which embraces 3D modelling and the BIM ethos.
