My journey began working on farms while completing my undergraduate degree, where I explored sustainable agricultural business ideas and freelance consultancy projects. This early experience gave me a practical understanding of how environmental goals must align with the realities of agricultural production, financial pressures, and land stewardship. It also sparked my interest in finding ways to make sustainability both accessible and achievable for organisations of all sizes.
Volunteering at the National Trust site, Tatton Park, I founded their first sustainability working group. We brought together farmers, gardeners, park rangers, chefs, and management to develop initiatives like No Mow May, electric hand dryers, and interactive events that engaged both staff and visitors. These projects demonstrated the value of collaboration, showing how sustainability becomes far more effective when people from different disciplines contribute their perspectives and expertise. The group not only implemented practical improvements but also helped embed a culture of environmental awareness across the organisation.

Now, as a Senior Sustainability Consultant at Inteb, I apply these lessons to support clients in embedding sustainability into their operations. I focus on translating the Three Pillars of Sustainability into achievable strategies that protect the environment, strengthen communities, and maintain commercial viability. My work often involves helping organisations understand where they are on their sustainability journey and identifying realistic opportunities for improvement.
Whether I’m advising on resource efficiency, sustainability reporting, carbon reduction, or operational initiatives, my goal is to ensure that sustainable practices are both practical and impactful. I believe sustainability works best when it moves beyond theory and becomes part of everyday decision-making. At Inteb, I help organisations turn sustainability commitments into tangible results that benefit people, the planet, and their business.
